Daniels, Grace May (20 December 1885 - 21 February 1973)

Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Daniels, 87, of Memorial Home, who died here Wednesday, are to be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home with H. E. Webster officiating. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Georgas Funeral Home beginning Friday morning.

Mrs. Daniels, the daughter of Albert and Lydia Corbin Pool, was born December 20, 1885, in Sheboygan and was educated there. She worked in the Sheboygan area and also in Milwaukee. Her marriage to Fred A. Daniels took place February 14, 1911, in Sheboygan. The couple lived in Sheboygan Falls until 1916 when they moved to a farm in the Town of Grant. They moved to Neillsville when they retired. Mr. Daniels died in 1948. The past several years, Mrs. Daniels had been a resident of Memorial Home.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Frederick (Christine) Elmhorst of Granton, Mrs. Henry (Dorothy) Elmhorst of Neillsville, Mrs. Robert (Elizabeth) Canfield of Granton and Mrs. Robert (Marie) Ratsch of Neillsville. There are 30 grandchildren and 68 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Grace May Daniels, 87, of Memorial Home, who died February 21, were held Saturday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home. H. E. Webster officiated and burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Daniels were her grandsons, Roy and Henry III (Dick) Elmhorst, Frederick Elmhorst, Darwin Canfield, Russell Ratsch, and Larry Daniels. “God leads us along,” When we all get to Heaven” and “A beautiful Life” were sung by the Henry Elmhorst family. An Elmhorst daughter, Rosemary McBride, was the accompanist.

Those from out of town who attended the services included Mrs. Garth Luchterhand of Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Smith and daughter of Owen, Mrs. Linda Schafer of Oshkosh, Mr. and Mrs. George Behringer and family of Winneconne, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bruce and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Bruce of Cedar Grove, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Feil and family of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. William Boose of Wild Rose and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Hamerla of Sheboygan.
