Moss, Diane Kay (Marriage - 1973)
Miss Diane Kay Moss became the bride of John J. Laager in a 2 p.m. ceremony performed April 14 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Cornell, by Rev. Prenzlow. A reception for the rural Thorp couple was held in the church parlor.
Parents of the newlyweds are Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Moss of Rt. 3 Thorp, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Laager. Mr. Moss presented his daughter in marriage.
For her marriage, the bride chose a bouffant gown of imported lace styled with a high neckline and long sleeves and enhanced by a rhinestone-trimmed chapel train of lace and organza. Her beaded crown headpiece secured a lace-bordered veil of illusion. She carried an arrangement of white carnations and yellow roses.
Teresa Moss was the maid of honor and Rita Moss and Luella Fleming, Bloomer, the bridesmaids. Their gowns featured flocked, printed bodices above solid-color skirts. Standard mums were tipped with yellow, blue and apricot to match their dresses.
The groom’s brother, Donald Lager, served as best man. Michael Kopacz and Roy Lobacz acted as groomsmen. Ushers were Roland Moss, brother of the bride, and Jerome Rossman.
Joel Jones, the bride’s cousin, was the ring bearer and Janet and Janice Godard were flower girls.
The groom is employed by a Spencer firm.
