Coulthard, William L. Sr. ‘Bill’ (23 February 1946 - 14 October 2014) With Flag

William L. ‘Bill’ Coulthard, Sr., 68, of Pittsville died Tuesday. Oct. 14, 1014, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

William was born Feb.23, 1946, in Aberdeen, WA, to Neal and Eleanor (Baxter) Coulthard and was a 1964 graduate of Pittsville High School. In 1965, he entered the United States Army and completed his military training at Fort Lewis, WA, and served active duty in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967. He married Patricia L. Schutz June 22, 1968, at St. Joachim Catholic Church.

Bill was employed for 45 years at the Port Edwards/Nekoosa paper mills and thoroughly loved his job. At the time of his retirement, he was a senior process engineer in Research and Development. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; their children, Robert (Diana) Coulthard of Pittsville, Mike (Amber) Co0ulthard of Readstown, and Pamela (Scott) Clifford of Holmen; eight grandchildren: Miranda, McKenna, Wyatt, Scott, Jessica, Mason, Cheyenne and Monique; and three sisters, Carol Cegielski of Arpin, Shirley (Herb) Jepson of Stanley and Judy (Ed) Braun of Rockford, MN.

He was predeceased by his parents and a son, William Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Pittsville, with visitation held Friday, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p. m. at Buchanan/Rembs Funeral home, Pittsville, and Saturday, one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial took place at St. Joachim Cemetery with Military rites conducted by the American Legion Post 153 of Pittsville.
