Mohr, Ruth (Marriage - 19 May 1973)

Miss Ruth Mohr became the bride of David Anding Saturday, May 19, in a1:30 p.m. double-ring ceremony performed at the Neillsville Assembly of God Church by the Rev. D. E. Sprague. A reception was held at the Bali Hai Supper Club. The new Mrs. Anding is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert H. Mohr of Rt. 2 Neillsville. Her husband is the son of Mrs. Annabelle Anding of Rt. 3 Neillsville and George Anding of Chippewa Falls.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in a gown of white lace over taffeta, fashioned with long lace sleeves accented by wide cuffs, a bodice trimmed with aurora crystal and seed pearls and a chapel train. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses.

Maid of honor Barbara Schroeder, Alma Center, and bridesmaid, Lori Opelt wore empire-waist gowns of sheer lilac nylon over white satin styled with long, sheer sleeves, stand-up collars and ruffle-edged skirts. Their bouquets combined violets and baby’s breath, and violets were also entwined in their hair.

Serving as bestman was Paul Mohr. Doug Anding was the groomsman. Ushers were Allen Mohr and Curt Anding. Linda Diers was the organist. Special music included “Somewhere my Love” and “Because.”

The bride is a 1972 graduate of Neillsville High School; her husband, who is employed locally graduated from the same school in 1971. The newlyweds will make their home on Rt. 1 Neillsville.
