------ Herrick, Patricia (06 MAY 1967)

Miss Patricia Herrick became the bride of Duane Towle in a nuptial mass at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Colby, on Saturday, May 6. The Rev. John Pinion conducted the ceremony and music was provided by the church choir. Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Florian Herrick, Colby, and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Towle, Wausau.

The bride’s matron of honor was her sister, Mrs. Jerome Ohlinger of Colby. Best man was Jerome Ohlinger. Ushers were Randy Susa of Willard and Allan Towle, Wausau.

The bride wore a ballerina-length coat dress of crepe and chantilly lace with a scooped neckline and long sleeves, natural waistline, and softly gathered silhouette. Over the dress was a sleeveless coat of crepe. A nylon bouffant illusion shoulder-length veil billowed from organza petals in a spray effect. Her headpiece consisted of three center flowers with pearl and crystal accent. She carried a white prayer book accented with an orchid and lilies of the valley and wore a gold locket belonging to her great grand mother. The bride’s attendant wore a blue street-length gown of lace with angel skin back watteau panel. The church was decorated with white and pink gladiolas.

The ceremony was followed by a dinner and reception at the Colby Hotel. Guests came from Willard, Greenwood, Wausau, Eau Claire, and the Colby area.

Following a wedding trip to southern Wisconsin and Illinois, the couple will be making their home at 115 ½ So. Eighth Ave., Wausau. The groom is employed at Marathon Electric Mfg. Corp., Wausau, and the new Mrs. Towle is a licensed cosmetologist.
