Wagner, Marvin Ralph (1 October 1936 -21 November 2014) With Flag

Marvin R. Wagner, 78, of Menomonie died Nov. 21, 2014, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

Marvin Ralph Wagner was born Oct. 1, 1936, in Neillsville, the son of Walter and Elizabeth (Apazellar) Wagner. He served in the United States Navy for four years. Oct. 10, 1959, he was united in marriage to Patricia Cutts at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. Marvin worked for Apex (Airport express) delivering freight. He loved to feed the birds in his yard, he loved spending time at his cabin in Hatfield and he enjoyed his casino trips to Laughlin, NV. Marvin was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie.

He is survived by a son, Gerald Wagner of Knapp; a daughter, Cheryl (Kevin Lindsey) Wagner of Menomonie; a granddaughter, Jessica (David Klemke) Smith of Menomonie; a grandson, Brandon Heifner of Illinois; and one great-granddaughter, Dani Lynn Klemke of Menomonie.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia; and a brother and a sister.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday Nov. 28, 2014, at Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie. Pastor Geoff Scott will officiate. Providing music will be Mike and Mary Kolstad. Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery at a later date.
