Friday of last week, six of the twelve who graduated in 1909, met at the park for a picnic dinner. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. F.F. Varney and Theresa Mae of Firebaugh, Calif., Mrs. Julia Johnson (Anderson) of Stevens Point, Mrs. Floy Sloniker Horn and Fern and Sylvia of Chili, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Erickson (Estella Masters) of Longwood, Mr. and Mrs. E.T. Opdycke (Eloda Stabnow) and Janet and Faye, , and Mr. and Mrs. George Einfeldt (Cynthia Varney) and daughters, Edith, Elizabeth and Margaret.

Mrs. Beatrice Howard Reiger, who was in town during the week, had to return to Chicago the evening before. The class regretted that very much.

Those unable to attend were: Mrs. Velma Hartson Jardine, New Virginia, Iowa, Mrs. Vera Ferneau Norris, Wabeno, Wis., Arthur Haglund, Bismarck, N.D., Floyd Snyder, Cunedin, Fla., and Mrs. Mary Chamberlin Furney, North English, Iowa. Letters from Mrs. Norris and Mrs. Furney were read to the group.

The two and one-half hours spent together passed all too quickly. Between jokes of former school days, pranks, tales of later years, and telling of the family absentees. Forrest Varney was asked to relate the story of their wonderful trip around the United States from their home in California through the south to Florida, thence to Tennessee and to Washington, D.C., to Boston, to Maine, to Niagara Fall, thence through interesting places to his father's home in Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.). They visited many noted places and told the story well.

A few pictures were taken to record the interesting time for future reminiscence. Those present hope that at the next opportunity for some to get together, all may be there.
