The Greenwood Woman's Club met Friday evening, Feb. 3, 1939 at the home of Mrs. P.W. Gullord. The program announced last week was not given, but a debate, put on by the High School Debating Team.

The question debated was "Resolved that the United States should establish an alliance with Great Britain." The affirmative were Elaine Buker and Stanton Gaylord, and the negative were Margaret Thorson and Norbert Jolivette. The debate was well given and was enjoyed by all.

After the debate a business meeting was held. Mrs. Loren Giswold was elected Study Chairman for the coming year and Mrs. Clarence Gorsegner was elected Civic Chairman for the coming year.

The party, which will be held at the next meeting, was discussed. It will be held at the home of Mrs. Russell Mead on Friday, February 17th.
