Schade, Elaine M. (26 AUG 1967)

Miss Elaine M. Schade, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Schade of Abbotsford, was given in marriage to Ronald V. Gosse, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Gosse of Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), Saturday, Aug. 26, 1967, at 2 o'clock at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford.

The couple approached the altar through a white archway decorated with gladioli, tangerine carnations and orange daisy mums. On the altar were Birds of Paradise and orange daisies, two topiary trees and baskets of gladioli.

The Rev. F.H. Sprengler heard their exchange of promises in a double ring ceremony.

For her wedding, the bride appeared in a floor length gown of organza fashioned in the empire silhouette, featuring long tapered sleeves and a scoop neckline. Re-embroidered Alencon lace adorned the front of the A-Line skirt and the sleeveless coat-train was highlighted by a deep border of lace. Her bouffant veil tiered from a forward petal piece of Alencon lace and crystals, designed by her mother.

She carried a crescent arrangement of Birds of Paradise and stephanotis, backed with tropical croton leaves and crystal ribbon loops to match her headpiece.

For her matron of honor she chose her sister, Mrs. Dennis Bowen of Wausau. Miss Kay Gosse of Wausau, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Kurt Hoffman of Marshfield, a friend of the bride, were the bridesmaids.

They were attired in persimmon linen floor length gowns with long sleeves. Venice lace trimmed the empire waistline and the Watteau panel in the back. They wore headpieces with pouf veils and carried crescent bouquets of green cymbidium orchids, orange California daisy mums highlighted with green frosted grapes and orange feathers.

Sam Gosse of Wausau was best man for his nephew. Dennis Bowen of Wausau, brother-in-law of the bride, and Wayne Schade of Sussex were the groomsmen. Danny Buss of Abbotsford and Keith Gayken of Colby performed the ushering duties.

Festivities of the wedding day included a reception at the Abbotsford City Hall, dinner fo 160 guests at the church parlors, and a dance at Sportsmen's Park, Colby.

After the new Mr. and Mrs. Gosse return from a honeymoon trip to an undisclosed place, they will live at 305 S. Alexander St., Wausau.

Both the bride and groom are graduates of the Abbotsford High School. The bride is an August 3 graduate of the Accredited Schools of Beauty Culture and belonged to Alpha Sigma Beta Chi.

Mr. Gosse is employed at Kraft Foods, Milan.

Guests attending the wedding came from Abbotsford, Colby, Wausau, Curtiss, Dorchester, Medford, Superior, Ashland, Marshfield, Wis. Rapids, Milwaukee, Sussex, Waukesha, Milan, Stetsonville, Milan, Stetsonville, Iowa and Chicago.
