Weideman, Nancy Lee (2 SEP 1967)

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Goldschmidt are now at home on his farm, route 1, Colby, having returned from a honeymoon trip to northern, Wisconsin, northern Michigan and Canada.

Miss Nancy Lee Weideman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Weideman, route 1, Abbotsford, and Richard Carl Goldschmidt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Goldschmidt Sr., route 1, Colby, were united in marriage Saturday evening, Sept. 2, 1967 at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford.

The Rev. F.H. Sprengler officiated at the 8 o'clock candlelight ceremony, during which Mr. Weideman presented his daughter in marriage. Paul Nixdorf was organist and accompanist for Miss Judy Broeske of Marshfield, who sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "O Perfect Love."

For her wedding the bride was attired in a floor length gown of nylon organza over taffeta with a lace bodice. The A-line skirt had a chapel length train. A forward headpiece of satin petals and leaves held her bouffant veil. She carried a semi-cascade bouquet of red roses and ivy.

She chose her three sisters to be her attendants and they were dressed alike in floor length jubilee gold gowns of crepe. They wore cap headpieces of taffeta and organza petals with short pouf veils. They carried bouquet of bronze daisy mums. Miss Wendy Weideman of Abbotsford was the maid of honor and Miss Janice Weideman of New London and miss Jenny Weideman of Marshfield were bridesmaids.

Dan Sazama of Colby, a friend of the groom, was best man. Gerald Weideman of Abbotsford, a brother of the bride, and Neal Langjahr of Unity were the groomsmen.

Donald Weideman and Jerry Fults of Abbotsford performed the ushering duties.

After the ceremony, the new Mr. and Mrs. Goldschmidt greeted their guests at a reception and dance held at Abbotsford City Hall.

The bride, who was employed in Marshfield, is a 1966 graduate of the Abbotsford High School. Her husband was graduated from the Colby High School in 1957 and is engaged in farming.

About 300 guests attended the wedding and they came from Milwaukee, New London, Clintonville, Dorchester, Marshfield, Wausau, Colby, Abbotsford and Mapleton, Minn.
