Globe (22 Aug 1918)

The Mission Fest will be held at the Lutheran Church next Sunday, Aug. 25. Services in the morning and afternoon. The morning service will commence at 11 o’clock. Everybody invited.

Chas. and Emil Poppe and families, Ed. Prock, Elmer Mund and family, Marcella Neis and Elsie Hemp autoed to Chippewa Falls Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. West and son, Donald, of Levis and Robert Mudra of Stevens Point, Mrs. George Bruley, Carl and Elizabeth Parisius and Martin Kalsow visited with the Gus. Grap family Sunday.

Mrs. George Bruley returned home from Prairie du Sac Saturday where she will spend several weeks.

Mrs. Gus. Kalsow spent the latter part of last week with her sister in Neillsville.

Mr. and Mrs. G. Mallig and dAughter, Elsie, spent a few days last week in Granton.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kuhl of Neillsville spent Sunday here with their children on the farm.

Walter Hemp of Neillsville visited here last week with his uncle, Gus. Grap, and family.

Miss Rosa Mitte is assisting Mrs. Ed. Schwellenbach with her housework.

Hulda and Ella Dudei are spending some time with their sister in York.

Wm. Mitte, Carl Schroeder, Alb. Lueck and their families visited with Eric Lueck and wife in York.

Frank Keller and wife and sons, and Herman Bartell and wife of Neillsville attended church here on Sunday and also called on friends.

Miss Elsa Schultz was at Eau Claire the latter part of last week.
