H.M. Root spent Sunday at Wonewoc.

John Reine was at Marshfield Monday on business.

Miss Vivian Ure visited at Camp Grant from Friday until Monday.

W.J. Marsh went to Chicago Monday to spend a week buying goods.

A.O. Rhea is here from Thorp for a visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Rossman.

Bob Brauer and family autoed to Oshkosh Sunday and will be gone a couple weeks.

Will Kelly returned to New York on Sunday after spending a ten-day furlough at home.

Miss Katherine Walker returned to Tioga Sunday after a week’s visit with Mrs. Mary Bruley.

Mrs. Margaret Myrben of Minneapolis is a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Root.

District Attorney W.J. Rush and wife and son returned Sunday from their week’s auto trip.

Miss Marie Bruley is home from Ladysmith where she has been visiting her sister, Mrs. Phil Griffin.

Mr. and Mrs. John Deitrich and two sons went to Camp Grant Thursday to spend a couple days.

Miss Mabel Etta and Miss Bernice Irvine were here from Loyal Monday taking the teachers’ examination.

A. Campbell and family autoed from St. Paul and are guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Nelson.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Greeler and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Greeler went to Camp Grant Friday to spend Sunday.

Chas. Roseman and wife returned to Wisconsin Veteran’s Home last week after spending several weeks here.

Jay Reine took his grandmother home to Necedah on Friday, she having been visiting here for the past month.

Mr. and Mrs. John Remes returned home to Chicago Friday after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. M. Skoda.

Mr. and Mrs. McGinnis and son and dAughter autoed from Waukesha and are guests of Mrs. Welsh and Mrs. Bruley.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Brown leave today for Fergus Falls, Minn., to visit with their dAughter for a short time.

Mr. and Mrs. George Gruber returned home to Dubuque Saturday after a short visit at the home of Mrs. Anna Neis.

Miss Esther Johnson returned home to Chicago Thursday after a couple weeks’ visit with Mr. and Mrs. John Charles.

County Clerk Ole Anderson went to Milwaukee Friday on business and his wife went to Stevens Point to spend a few days.

Ed. Higgins returned home to Glenwood City Monday.

Mrs. W. Lyman left Monday on her return trip home.

Edwin Billings was at Merrillan Monday on business.

Frederick Crosby is visiting his grandparents at Granton.

Charles Taylor was here from Barron Tuesday on business.

O.E. Counsell went to Pewaukee Monday to attend a sheep sale.

Jos. and Carl Huhnstock left Monday for North Dakota to work.

Miss Gertrude Becker is back from her vacation trip to Chicago.

Dr. Brooks and family returned Thursday from their trip to Chetek.

Mrs. F.B. Wing of Abbotsford is visiting her mother, Mrs. Mary MacMillan.

Misses Viola and Nora Carver of Ladysmith are the guests of Miss Lillie Holtz.

Mrs. George Lynch and dAughter returned last week from a visit at Minneapolis.

The serving committee consists of Mesdames Beardsley, Wallace, Westerhoff and Voss.

Mrs. Joe Bass went to Marshfield Thursday to undergo a slight operation at the hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Rossman and Russell Sterling left Monday on an auto trip to Chicago.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ketelhut returned to Milwaukee Monday after spending several weeks here.

Mrs. Leavitt Phillips and children went to Bear Creek Monday to spend a short time with her parents.

Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Cornelius went to Minneapolis Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. R.A. Clemens took them to Fairchild Sunday afternoon in their car.

Mr. and Mrs. Adam Reidel and son, Mrs. Wiseman and Mrs. Vogel returned home to Jefferson Monday after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Simon Schuld in Loyal and friends in this city.
Miss Gretchen Hachmann, who has been visiting her uncle, Henry Zschernitz, on account of poor health, is much improved and will leave for Chicago this week to take up her work.

Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Pulz and Mr. and Mrs. O.C. Kapke of Milwaukee stopped off here Sunday on their way home from an auto trip to Minneapolis and spent the day with Mrs. Amelia Kapke.

Bob Glass, who has been running an engine at the Hatfield canal works, had the misfortune to break his arm last week and is home on an enforced vacation. He got his hand mixed up in the machinery.

Mrs. Chas. Taube and dAughter, Miss DeMiss Dellaphine, returned to Oshkosh last Thursday evening after spending several weeks with her sister, Mrs. Max Schroeder, and mother, Mrs. Wm. Schultz.

Joe Zilk went to Camp Custer Friday, having enlisted in the capacity of chauffeur. His parents were here from Marshfield that day to see him off. Edwin Bahr of Abbotsford went on the same train to Valparaiso to take vocational training.

Mrs. Rudine and Mrs. Milo Woodford arrived here Monday from Wyoming to see their mother, Mrs. Blackman, who is very sick. Mrs. Blackman seems to be slowly improving, but her condition is yet very serious.
