Paulson, Joyce Fay (10 September 1929 - 5 September 1973)

Miss Joyce Fay Paulson, 43, of College Place, Wa, and formerly of Neillsville, sustained a fatal heart attack September while on a group outing at Newport, Wa. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home with the Rev. Melvin Nickel of the United Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in the Windfall Cemetery at Granton.

Joyce Paulson, the daughter of the late Clifton A. Paulson and Mrs. Grace (Chapman) Paulson of Walla Walla, Wa, was born September 10, 1929, in Oshkosh and was educated at Granton and at Marshfield. She lived at home and left the Neillsville area in 1971 for Washington, where she attended Lillie Rice activity center at College Park. Miss Paulson was a member of Fidelity Camp No. 6375, Royal Neighbors of America, at Granton.

She is survived by her mother, by one sister, Mrs. Willard (Patricia) Rohde of Walla Walla, Wa, and by one brother, Chap Paulson of Wisconsin Dells.

Pallbearers were Robert Marty, Calvin Gerhardt, Howard and Peter Paulson, Morey Johnson and David Berlick. Mrs. Edison Mathis sang ‘In the Garden.’ The accompanist was Mrs. James Spangler.

Among those attending the services were the following from out-of-town: Mrs. Grace Paulson and Mrs. Willard Rohde, Walla Walla, Wa; Mr. and Mrs. Chap Paulson and sons, Wisconsin Dells; Lester Chapmen, Santa Rosa, Ca.; Mrs. Margaret Smith, Pat Paulson and Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Voight, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. David Berlick, Chili; Mrs. Alfred Spaete, Mrs. Dale Short and Mrs. Elmer Kapfer, Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Morey Johnson, Wisconsin Rapids.

Members of Fidelity Camp No. 6375, Royal Neighbors of America, Granton, attended the services as a body.
