Wapp, Mary (16 September 1885 - 25 September 1973)

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Wapp, 88, of Neillsville, who died September 25, are to be held this (Thursday) morning at 10 o’clock from St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles D. Brady officiating. Burial will be made in St. Lucas Cemetery, Chicago, Il., on Friday. The Rosary was to be recited Wednesday at 8:45 p.m. at the Georgas Funeral Home, where the body of Mrs. Wapp was in state.

Born September 16, 1885, at Johnsburg, Il., and educated there, Mrs. Wapp was the daughter of Joseph and Susie (Klein) Freund. She worked as a seamstress and lived in Chicago, Il., and in Indiana before coming to Wisconsin in 1953. Her marriage to Edward Wapp took place September 19, 1901, in Chicago. He died in 1942.

Mrs. Wapp was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and of St. Jude’s circle of the P.C.C.W. Among survivors are two nieces: Mrs. Max Feuerstein and Mrs. Ray Burr, and a nephew, Edward Freund, all of Neillsville.
