Scheel, Joann (April 8, 1930 - Oct. 22, 2005)

Joann Scheel, 75, of Genesee, died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital surrounded by the love and care of her family.

Joann was born April 8, 1930, in Dodgeville to Delmar and Bessie Jane (nee Blackney) Trevorrow. On Jan. 19, 1951, she married Walter Scheel in her parents’ home on the Winzenried farm. She was devoted to her husband and family. Joann will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Walter. She was loved and cherished by her children, Dawn (Roman) Niemyjski of Franksville, Beth (Michael) McCutcheon of Sun Prairie, Faith (Steve) Olson Sr. of Eagle, Janet (Fred) Carsky Jr., Blaine Scheel and Mark (Roxanne) Scheel, all of Menomonee Falls, Ruth (Keith) Hess of Dousman, Rebekah (Glen) Rhinesmith of Wales, David Scheel of St. Francis, Daniel (Gayle) Scheel and Paul (Gwen Anne) Scheel, both of Dousman.

Joann was a wonderful and caring grandmother to Jason (Jackie) and Justin (Jody) Niemyjski, Rebekah (Todd) Biermann, Christine (Steve) Grisius, Joseph and Jacob Niemyjski, Ryan (Liz) Niemyjski, Sarah (fiancee Mark Gernetzke) McCutcheon, Stevie (Janel) Olson, Jr., Jana (Brian) Poehnelt and Amy (Mike) Hoff, Freddie Carsky III, Elizabeth (Aaron) Blazek, Jennie (fiancée Todd Hetzel) Carsky, Robert, Elaine and Alan Carsky, Angie (Greg) Ewald, Walter and Wendy Scheel, Stephanie (fiancée David Seeley) Hess, Rachel and Laura Hess, John and Michael Rhinesmith, Noah and Grace Scheel, Graham and Gabriel Scheel and Nathaniel Scheel. Eighteen great-grandchildren and two on the way also survive.

She was a fond sister to Delmar (Arlene) Trevorrow of Sun Prairie, Patricia (Tom) Gilham of Waukesha and Lonnie (Connie) Trevorrow of Florida. She is also remembered as a sister-in-law to Donna Trevorrow, Dodie Trevorrow, Gary (Mavis) Scheel, Audrey Scheel, Ralph (Dorothy) Scheel, Norma (the late Lester) Frantom, Arthur (Luella) Scheel, Joyce (the late Art) Prior and Wayne (Patricia) Scheel. Many other relatives and friends also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, sisters and many in-laws.

Visitation for Joann will be Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., followed by the 7 p.m. funeral service. Private burial will take place Wednesday in Loyal. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested.
