A baby shower was held last week for Mrs. Neal Tytor at her home. The baseball team of 14 girls was hostesses and served a lunch.

A surprise birthday party was held last Tuesday afternoon for Arnold Claire, the occasion being his 70th birthday. Sixteen people were present. Mrs. Mary Parkel made and decorated the birthday cake; Mrs. Edith Backus was hostess. A lunch was served.

Louis Lesar, Sr., of Ely, Mn, spent the weekend here with relatives.

Mrs. Joe Wene of Milwaukee is spending several weeks with her mother, Mrs. Theresa Parkel.

Mr and Mrs. Robert Langreck and children of Spencer spend the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Auman and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hadzima, Chad Allen and Suellyn, all of Eau Claire, spent the weekend at the Frank Lamovec home.

Attending the Thieme-Artac wedding Saturday were: Mr. and Mrs. John Bailen and children of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. John Kuznacic and family Sheboygan; Sister Antonia of Wabasha, Mn; Donna Marie Gosar and friend of Oshkosh; Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Ruzic, Sr., Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Gary Ruzic and family of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Bert Martin and children, Junction City; Mrs. Emily Haug, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Haug, Jr., Waukesha; Jenny Artac and friend and Carl Artac and friend of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Artac of Osseo; Mr. and Mrs. Roman Stroinski and children of Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. Elton Shaw and children of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Trunkel; Mr. and Mrs. Allen Wessel of Greenwood; Mary Ann Artac of Milwaukee. Mrs, Bernard Schmidt of loyal visited one day last week with Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig Jordon.

Mr. and Mrs. John Scharenbrock visited last Sunday in Cornell with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Scharenbrock.

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hintz of Milwaukee spent last Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. John Scharenbrock.
