At two o’clock Tuesday afternoon, July 20, funeral services were conducted for Alden Joseph Anderson, city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), from the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, with the parish pastor Rev. Arnold Woodring officiating. Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.
C.E. Beck, Kenneth Worden, Art Karow, gene Adams, Joe Adams and Axel Lindgren served as pallbearers.
Mr. Anderson passed away Friday evening at Memorial Hospital at Medford, where he had been a medical patient since suffering a heart attack at his home on the 3rd of July.
Born Aug. 18, 1891 he had attained the age of 73 years, 10 months and 28 days.
His early life was spent at DeSoto, Wis. And Red Lodge, Mont. Of late years he and his family made their home in the neighboring communities of Curtiss, Withee and Owen. During all the years he lived in this community he was engaged in the businesses of farming, contracting and blacksmithing.
His passing is mourned by his wife, the former Margaret Webster, whom he married on Dec. 15, 1915 at Dickinson, N.D.; six sons, Rev. Morris Anderson, Dallas, Tex.; Bert Anderson, Milwaukee; Rasmus Anderson, Cleveland, Ohio; Kenneth Anderson, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Herald Anderson, Anchorage, Alaska; five daughters, Mrs. Joyce Arndt, Mrs. Helen Lucjaz and Mrs. Mary Turnquist, Milwaukee; Mrs. Dorothy Jasmer, Withee and Mrs. Donna Dunno, Kenosha; a brother Roy of Owen; one sister, Mrs. Linnie Quanback of Minneapolis, Minn., and numerous grandchildren.
