Canfield, Elizabeth Grace (Daniels) (25 DEC 1916 - 25 APR 2015)

Elizabeth Canfield, age 98, of Granton, WI died Saturday, April 25, 2015, surrounded by her loving family, in the same home, in the same bedroom that she was born many years ago.

Elizabeth Grace Canfield was born on December 25, 1916 in Granton, WI the daughter of Fredrick and Grace (Poole) Daniels.

She was united in marriage to Robert Canfield in February of 1936. During World War II she worked in the egg plant in Marshfield, but for most of her life she stayed at home and worked as a homemaker, raising her family.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, gardening and tending to her flowers. She has made hundreds upon hundreds of rugs made from baler twine for family and friends, over the years.

She is survived by four children, Jeanette (Jerome) Kurth of Marshfield, WI, Pauline (Ronald) Webster of Granton, WI, Robert (Linda) Canfield of Marshfield, WI and Stanley (Naree) Canfield of Granton, WI. Elizabeth is also survived by 130 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, a son, Darwin, a daughter, Margaret and five siblings.

A graveside service for Elizabeth will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at the Windfall Cemetery in Granton. Immediately following the graveside service a memorial service will be held at the Granton Community Center. Pastor Jay Welshonse will conduct both services.
