Knudtson, William A. (7 FEB 1944 - 25 APR 2015)

William A. Knudtson, 71, Gilman, formerly of Taylor, passed away on Saturday, April 25 at his home.

He was born on February 7, 1944 in Colorado Springs, Colo. to Allen and Katherine (Duffild) Knudtson. At the age of two, his family moved to the Whitehall area.

William joined the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era. He was stationed in Panama City, Fla., and worked in intelligence.

In 2007, William was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Fullington in Gilman. Together the coupled lived in Taylor before moving to Gilman in 2010.

He enjoyed golfing for which he won many awards, watching football, fishing, camping, being outdoors, his animals Charlie and Putters, going for drives in the country, and most of all spending time with his family. William was a member of the Whitehall Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Lisa (Fred) Sosalla of Whitehall, Stacy (Ronnie) Paulson of York and Lara (Chris) Seubert of Marshfield; sons, Jeremy Knudtson of Blair and Cody (Melissa) Knudtson of Thorp; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Rick (Kathy) Knudtson of West Palm Beach, Fla.; sister, Ina (Mike) Williams of Denver, Colo.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Katherine; father-in-law, James Fullington; and other relatives.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 2 at 1 p.m. at Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home in Hixton. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Merrillan.

Family and friends are invited for visitation on Friday, May 1 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home. Family and friends are also invited for visitation on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
