East Weston-West York (12 Sep 1918)

Len Boone, who has been threshing around here, broke his engine, so he will not thresh any more this fall.

Fred Lewandowski, Sr., celebrated his 90th birthday at the home of Wm. Gerhardt last Sunday. There were 52 guests present. The evening was spent in dancing and a very enjoyable time was had by all present.

Howard Bremer and best girl were seen on this road last Sunday evening enjoying an auto ride.

Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Grams and daughter, Lizzie, of Loyal, are visiting at the home of Wm. Gerhardt for a few days.

Joe Zazaz and Thomas Joyce drove home some cattle from Tioga last Sunday.

Mrs. Fred Bremer was a business caller at Marshfield last Friday.

Clarence Holt joined the colors last Wednesday. He said he had to help conquer the Germans.
