Rajek, Frank J. (29 JAN 1911 - 14 JUN 2004)

Frank J. Rajek, 93, town of Cassel, died Monday, June 14, 2004 at his home. He was born January 29, 1911 in the town of Marathon, son of the late Frank and Alvina (Henke) Rajek.

On June 28, 1939 he married Bertha Friedrich at St. Stephen Evangelical Lutheran Church in Edgar. She survives.

Frank farmed in the town of Cassel for many years. Frank did mason work and plastering with his father. He did the inside plastering work at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Edgar and enjoyed gardening, going up-north fishing and visiting with family.

Survivors include his wife, Bertha Rajek, town of Cassel; five children, Robert (Ardell) Rajek, Edgar, Rudolph (Barbara) Rajek, Wausau, Hildegard (James) Kienbaum, Wausau, Ronald (Darlene) Rajek, Mosinee, William (LeAnn) Rajek, Wausau; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, five step grandchildren, two step great grandchildren; three sisters, Johanna Schreier, Evelyn Kage, both of Edgar and Delores (Milton) Lewitzke, Wausau.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Ed Rajek and two sisters, Edna Schreier and Lorraine Erdmann. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday June, 17, 2004 at St. Stephen Evangelical Lutheran Church, Edgar. Rev. Linda M. Dutton will officiate.

Burial will be in the Edgar Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar and again Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Edgar funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Robert Rajek Jr., Charles Rajek, Wayne Rajek, Scott Kienbaum, Paul Rajek and Westly Rajek.
