Zimmerman, Mary (1888 – 11 MAY 1968)

Mrs. Mary Zimmerman, 80, a pioneer resident of Boyd and vicinity, passed away Saturday evening at St. Charles Hospital, Aurora, Ill. She had made her home in Aurora for the last year and a half.

Mary Willkom was born in 1888 on a farm in the town of Delmar,, and was married to Richard Zimmerman at St. Joseph's Church in Boyd. They resided on a farm in the town of Edson, later moving to the home farm, where they resided until the spring of 1954, when they moved into the village of Boyd. Here she resided until the fall of 1966 when she went to Aurora. She was preceded in death by her husband in October 1954, and one son, Richard Jr., in March 1943.

She is survived by 7 daughters and three sons, Loretta, Irene, Alice and Claire Zimmerman, all of Milwaukee, Mrs. Ray (Florence) Dorr of Grand Marais, Minn.; Mrs. William (Leona) Nedrow of Aurora, Ill.; Mrs. Walter (Mary) Webber of Aurora, Ill., Robert of Thorp, Wis., Walter and Harold, both of Aurora, Ill. 17 grandchildren also survive.

Friends may call at the Supple Funeral Home in Boyd from Monday noon until the time of services, which will be at ten o'clock Tuesday morning from St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with Rev. Charles Herbera officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

St. Elizabeth's Society, of which Mrs. Zimmerman was a member, will recite the rosary at 8:00 o'clock Monday evening at the Funeral Chapel. The parish rosary will be at 8:30.
