East Weston-West York (17 Oct 1918)

Mrs. Chas. Heller returned from Marathon City Saturday.

There was a party at Wm. Gerhardt’s Saturday evening.

The Forman School closed Monday for at least a week on account of Spanish influenza. Miss Tiller left Monday to spend the vacation at Eau Claire.

The house on the Chas. Northup farm burned Sunday. It started from a defective chimney. Mr. Miller, who rented the farm, lost most of his household goods in the fire.

Mrs. C.E. Demouth returned to Loyal Tuesday after a two weeks’ visit with relatives and friends here.

Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Armitage visited at Dan Timerson’s in York Wednesday.
