Columbia (10 January 1974)
Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Peterson, their son Roger, Frank Wizner, and Randy Bier, all
of Ripon, and David Abuya of Milwaukee, spent several days last week at their
home in Columbia and enjoyed snowmobiling.
George Jonkel of Laurel, Md., Charles Jonkel of Ottawa, Canada, and Leonard (Micky)
Sollberger of Madison, visited Mr. and Mrs. William Sollberger Sunday afternoon.
George Jonkel, a government employee of the DNR, spoke of a trip to Antarctica,
where, with a group of researchers, he will make a survey and study of penguins
and other birds native to the area.
The Jonkel’s and Leonard Sollberger were guests of Mrs. Ruby Yndogliato in Pine
Valley and were here due to the death of Tom Yndogliato.
William and Georgeana Schulz were New Year’s Day dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs.
Ole Aspen in Neillsville.
A small family group observed the birthday of Mark Vornholt Saturday evening at
the Schulz home. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Mark Vornholt, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Aspen
and Ruth Ebert, all of Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs. George Church of Pine Valley and Lester Zasoba of Milwaukee were
Friday evening visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Mashin.
