Fecker, Gloria Jean (16 NOV 1968)

Miss Gloria Jean Fecker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Fecker, Colby, and John Paul Witte Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. John Witte Sr., Colby, were united in marriage at a 4 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 16, 1968, at the First United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Kenneth A. Dix officiating.

Music for the ceremony was presented by Mrs. Allen Duvall, who sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "O Promise Me." The organ was played by Mrs. Marie Miller of Wausau.

The bride was attired in a gown of Chantilly lace and peau taffeta, with a detachable train of lace. The long sleeves tapered to points over the wrists and the bouffant skirt of peau taffeta was divided and inset with alternate tiers of lace and peau taffeta bordered with lace. The bouffant veil was of silk illusion and was secured to a double lace pointed crown with pearl outline trimmed with crystals with crystal drops at the center.

The maid of honor was Nancy Wendt of Medford, and the bridesmaid was Karen Sutton of Stratford.

Neil Witte of Colby was best man, and groomsman was Gene Fecker of Colby. The ushers were Gary Fecker and Frank Gustafson, also of Colby.

Festivities of the wedding day included a reception at Don Colby's in Unity and a supper in the church basement.

Both are graduates of Colby High School. The groom works on construction.

They are making their home in Abbotsford.
