Martin, Barbara "Barb" A. (15 FEB 1950 - 27 AUG 2015)

Barbara "Barb" A. Martin, 65, Wausau passed away peacefully in the Palliative Care Unit at Aspirus Wausau Hospital on Thursday, August 27, 2015.

She was born to the late Clarence and Marcella (Schueller) Martin in the town of Rib Falls on February 15, 1950.

Barb was a joy to all who worked with her and helped care for her during her life. She especially enjoyed family and always asked how each of her siblings, nieces, and nephews was doing. She had a special attraction for kittens and the "Big Moose" near Tomahawk. Her family and friends have been blessed with Barbara's eager greetings and unconditional love for them. Her innocent nature enriched all of our lives, and we will miss her very much.

Survivors include her siblings, Jim Martin, Wauwatosa; Rose (Joe) Gergerich, Arkansas; Jean (Terry) Prahl, Verona; Bob (Helen Matzke) Oregon; Glenn (Kathy) Martin, Dresser; Ruth Martin, Oregon; Lois Martin, River Falls; Paul (Laura) Martin, Wausau; Max (Deanna) Martin, Sturgeon Bay; Karl (Karen) Martin, Brooklyn, as well as nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and her friends and caregivers at Hillcrest Group Home in Wausau.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 31, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. The Rev. Thomas Huff will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services all at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar, is in charge of the arrangements.
