Schutz, Violet (26 March 1894 - 26 February 1974)

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from Grace Lutheran Church, Nasonville, for Mrs. Fred (Violet) Schutz, 79, of Rt. 1 Granton, who died February 26 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. The Rev. Richard Eggen of Zion American Lutheran Church, Granton, officiated and burial was made in the Windfall Cemetery at Granton. The Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton, was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Schutz, the former Violet Holnbach, was born March 26, 1894, in the Town of Lynn and was educated in schools there. Her marriage to Fred Schutz took place June 17, 1923, in Milwaukee. The Schutzes lived in Milwaukee until 1929 when they moved to a farm in the Town of Lynn. Mrs. Schutz was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include one son, Merwyn, of Granton, and 11 grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters: Mrs. Agnes Bender of Loyal, Mrs. Peter Pezewski of Pewaukee and Mrs. Anita Riedel of Menomonie Falls; and by three brothers, Otto Holnbach of Loyal, Forrest Holnbach of Napa, Ca, and Wallace Holnbach of San Clemente, Ca.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Schutz were her grandsons: Frederick, Gordon, Ronald, Kenneth, Gary and Donald Schutz.

Mrs. Earl Meissner was the organist and Mrs. Lawrence Dix, the soloist.
