Gysen, Godfreid (9 August 1884 - 30 March 1974)
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning from the Georgas Funeral Home for a
retired area farmer, Godfreid Gysen, of Memorial Home, who died March 30 at the
age of 89. The Rev. Gary Clark of the United Church of Christ officiated and
burial was made in the Town of Mentor Cemetery, Humbird.
Mr. Gysen was born August 9, 1884, in Switzerland. He farmed in the Town of
Hewett and in the Humbird area. His wife, the former Anna Leiser, preceded him
in death in 1959.
Survivors include a niece, Mrs. Fred C. Schulz, and a brother-in-law, Jacob
Leiser, both of Milwaukee
