Pester-Howard, Henrietta M. (Wiedrich) (6 MAR 1941 - 25 OCT 2015)

Henrietta M. Pester-Howard, 74, of Medford, passed on Sunday Oct. 25, 2015 at Saint Clare’s Hospital in Weston.

A memorial service will be held Nov. 8 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Taylor County Community Building in Medford. A second memorial service will be held at the Harvard Sportsman’s Club in Harvard, IL from 1 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 15. Burial of her cremated remains will take place at Woodstock, IL at a later date.

The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is entrusted with the arrangements.

She was born March 6, 1941 at Ringwood, IL to Harold and Esther (Fisher) Wiedrich. She attended numerous schools throughout McHenry and Boone counties.

Henrietta and Robert L. Pester were married Feb. 1957. He preceded her in death in Aug. 1982. She later married Carl Howard in April 1981 in Capron, IL. He preceded her in death in September, 2014.

She worked for numerous years at Admiral Corp. in Harvard, Ill. She also waitressed and cooked at several restaurants. She was a CNA at Memorial Hospital of Taylor County in Medford prior to 1987. She and Robert also farmed in the town of Browning.

Henrietta received a degree in health and human services from Rock Valley Tech College in Rockford, IL after raising her family. She enjoyed flea markets, traveling, Bingo, camping with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Henrietta is survived by three daughters, Christine Pester, Tamala Peterson (Paul) and Esther Truckey (Ray Ramm) all of Medford; four sons, Robert Pester, Harold Pester (Kathy), both of Medford; Timothy Pester (Julie) of Garden Prairie, IL; Carl Howard (Margaret) of Rockford, IL; 23 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She is further survived by sisters, Pearl (Russle) Gieshert of Poplar Grove, IL and Elaine (Glen) Whaples of Howard, IL; two brothers, George Wiedrich of Harvard, IL and Merle (Pat) Wiedrich of Bulls Gap, TN.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Henrietta was also preceded in death by an infant son, Wade Pester; siblings Linda Hoyt, Fred and William, and Helen (June) Wiedrich.
