Greaser, George F. (15 JAN 1881 – 12 FEB 1968)

George F. Greaser Sr., 87, of Abbotsford died Monday morning, Feb 12, 1968, at the Memorial Nursing Home, Medford, where he was a resident the past four and one-half years.

The body will lie in state at the Polnaszek Funeral Home, Abbotsford until time for the services, which will be conducted there this afternoon, Feb. 15, at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Kenneth Dix will officiate. Interment will be made in the Abbotsford Cemetery.

George F. Greaser was born Jan. 15, 1881, at Huntington, Pa. His marriage to Edna Viola McKean took place in Pennsylvania Nov. 17, 1903. Mr. Greaser was employed by the Penn Railroad from 1900 to 1912. They then moved to a farm at Schullsburg, Ia., and came to the Abbotsford area in 1921 and farmed. They moved to Abbotsford in 1942.

Mrs. Greaser preceded her husband in death Jan. 23, 1963. One daughter, Thelma, also preceded them in death.

Surviving are two daughters and four sons: Mrs. Elmer (Fern) Vandehey of rural Colby, Mrs. Ed (Mary) Pacholke of Abbotsford, Elmer of West Allis, George Jr. of Dorchester, Ross of Amherst, and Myron of Abbotsford.

There are three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by one brother and five sisters: William Greaser of San Bernardino, Calif., Mrs. Ella Schomler and Mrs. Ruth Brown of Rockwell City, Ia., Mrs. Anna Schomler of Boscobel, Mrs. Bertha Schultz of Belleview, Pa., and Mrs. Glenn King of Vinton, Ia.
