Ketelhut, Harriet A. (Bolles) (22 OCT 1924 - 7 NOV 2015)

Harriet A. Ketelhut, age 91, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Aspirus Nursing and Rehab in Medford surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Community United Church of Christ in Medford, with Pastor Mary Jo Laabs, officiating.

Visitation will be at 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford with a 7:00 P.M. Order of the Eastern Star Service. Also from 10:00 A.M. until time of services on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Community United Church of Christ in Medford

Harriet was born on October 22, 1924 in Chatfield, Minnesota, to Marvin and Maud (Peckham) Bolles.

She attended Westboro Area Elementary and graduated from Medford High School. On December 5, 1942 in Medford, Harriet married the love of her life, Leslie R. Ketelhut and he preceded her in death on April 17, 1987.

Harriet was a waitress at the Black Bear Inn in Medford where she met her husband. After her marriage, she was a loving mother to 5 children. Harriet worked as a clerk for various businesses in the Medford area before settling as a clerk for Hoffman Ben Franklin for 30 years until ill health forced her retirement. Harriet enjoyed spending time with her family at the cottage on Lake Esadore where she loved to bake and cook for her family and friends and where she taught herself, along with her children and grandchildren to swim. She enjoyed various crafts, scrap booking, traveling with family and friends and participating in her grandchildren's activities. Harriet loved popcorn and was also an avid Green Bay Packer fan.

She was a member of Community United Church of Christ in Medford since 1942, Order of the Eastern Star, Esadore Area Lake Association, Community United Church of Christ Women's Guild and Candle Light Circle and the Royal Neighbors

Harriet is survived by her children, Bev (Jim) Weister of Marshfield, Larry (Diann) Ketelhut of Commerce City, CO, Jack (Sally) Ketelhut of Medford, Cheryl Ketelhut of Medford and Scott C. Ketelhut of Fond du Lac; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her parents, Marvin and Maud (Peckham) Bolles.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Harriet’s family to be designated at a later date to United Church of Christ of Medford, Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice and Esadore Lake Association.
