Dear Mr. Neuenfeldt:
Thanks for your kind letter. Under separate cover I am sending two pictures and
two commencement programs which might be of interest. However, suit yourself
about using the latter, but I would like them returned with pictures.
In the year 1898, only one, Mabel Varney, wrote in the finals. I wrote you in my
first letter that Eva Miller also finished that year, but I find her name in the
1897 class program, so she must have come back only for post graduate work in
1898.
Mabel and Eva were the only ones taking the finals that year. The rest, with the
exception of Philo Meade and Gertie Miller, were joined by Bride Miller, Sena
Hanson, Margie Thompson, Alice Miller, Ross Miller and Mabel Rossman, to form
the class of 1899.
Of this number, Bride Miller and Gertie Miller, their cousin Ross Miller, and
Ferdinand Wollenberg are now deceased. Of the whereabouts of Birdine Anderson
and Sena Hanson, I have had no information for years. If anyone who reads this
can give me news of them I would appreciate it.
Our principal through 1896 on to 1901 or son, was Prof. B.O. Dodge, now
professor of Botanical Research of the Bronx Gardens, New York City.
Very Truly,
Faye Hunt Brown (Mrs. C.H.)
