Schmitz, Pauline E. Marriage - 27 April 1974)

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne L. Frome, who were married Saturday, April 27, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood, will make their home at Spencer. The Rev. Leander Koopman officiated at the 1 p.m. ceremony for the former Pauline E. Schmitz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Schmitz, Rt. 1 Greenwood, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Frome, Rt. 2 Colby.

A short, bouffant veil enhanced the bride’s empire-style gown. She carried a cascade arrangement of white gardenias and stephanotis as she was presented in marriage by her father.

Mrs. Dennis Frome, Colby was the matron of honor and Mrs. Richard Schmitz of Greenwood was the bridesmaid. Bouquets of pink and aqua mums complimented the attendants’ aqua gowns, accented by white, wide brim hats.

Dennis Frome served as bestman and Richard Schmitz, as groomsman. Guests were seated by Warren Mondloch and Eugene Frane.

Music at the wedding was by organists Mike Vessel and Carol Talley and vocalists Mrs. Norman Maxwell and Mrs. Don Hanson.

A reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, rural Greenwood.

A 1966 graduate of St. Mary’s Academy, Prairie du Chien the new Mrs. Frome is employed as a surgical technician at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Her husband graduated from Colby High School in 1963 and from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1967. He is employed as a research assistant at the Marshfield Clinic foundation.
