Boehm, Lawrence J. (15 SEP 1940 - 26 JAN 2016)

Lawrence J. Boehm, 75, town of Cassel, died Friday, February 12, 2016 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

He was born September 15, 1940, son of the late John H. and Pauline (Meixner) Boehm. On July 14, 1962 he married JoAnn Kordus at St. Anne Catholic Church, Wausau. She survives.

Lawrence was a dairy farmer in the town of Cassel for many years. He was also the second generation owner/operator of Boehm Insurance Agency in Edgar from 1960 until 2006 when his son Michael took over.

Survivors include his wife JoAnn Boehm, town of Cassel, his children, Michael (Sally) Boehm and Lisa (Jeffrey) Mueller, both of Edgar, four grandchildren, Danielle (Raymond) Dahlke, Jarett (fiancé Magdolyn Nowak) Mueller and Derek and Mitchell Boehm, his siblings, Evelyn Lewandowski, Thorp, Loretta Stanton, Wausau, Clarence (Mary Ann) Boehm, Cumberland and Ervin (Clarice) Boehm, Wausau, one brother-in-law, Charles Lang Sr., and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Patrick Boehm, one sister, Rose Lang and two brothers-in-law, John Lewandowski and Gary Stanton.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 29, 2016 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. The Rev. Robert Streveler will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, February 28, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
