Knusta, Brian K. (12 SEP 1966 - 15 FEB 2016)

Brian K. Knusta, age 49, of Lublin, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Trinity Christian Fellowship, in Stanley, WI, with Pastor Brian Welsh officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Knusta, Chuck Szemraj, Mike Stokosa, Tony Bakken, Rob Karaba and Neal Luzinski. Visitation will be held at Thorp Funeral Home from 4pm to 8pm on Friday, February 19, 2016, and again at the church, on Saturday, from 9:30am until time of service.

Brian Keith Knusta was born on September 12, 1966 in Alexandria, VA, to Frank "Jerry" and Nellie M. (Nickel) Knusta.

In February of 1969, the family moved to Eau Claire, WI where he spent many summers working with his grandparents on their farm in Lublin. He attended Sam Davey Elementary School and graduated from Eau Claire North High School in 1984.

After completing high school, Brian moved to Florida where he attended flight training school for Delta Air Lines. He began his career with Delta Air Lines in Washington DC then transferred to Milwaukee in 1989, where he served as Delta’s Supervisor of Airport Services until 2006.

Brian was united in marriage to Monica R. Rewolinski on September 2, 1995 at St. Veronica's Catholic Church in Milwaukee. In 2010, Brian moved to Lublin to manage the Knusta family farm and began working for Haas Sons, Inc. as a Redi-Mix driver.

Brian had many interests, including his love for aviation and history, but he especially loved the outdoors. He felt it was important to teach children to hunt, to cherish the Earth and foster its renewal. Brian spent many years hunting and fishing all over the United States and Canada.

Brian will be dearly missed by his wife: Monica of Lublin; two sons: Jonathan and Alexander, both of Lublin; his mother: Nellie Knusta of Hartford; his father: Frank "Jerry" (Barbara) of Eau Claire; two brothers: Scott of Hartford and Todd of Mondovi; two step-sisters: Lisa Evenson of De Pere and Neva (Shawn) Coyle of Eau Claire; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
