Roberta Bauer was married to Paul Eugene Johnson October 2 at St. Mary’s Church, Nashville, Tennessee. Attending the wedding from the area were her parents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bauer, Mrs. Lorene Bauer, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Rueth, Mr. Braun, all returing home on Sunday.

Weekend visitors at the Harry Marvin home were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Cook and sons, New Berlin. Sunday visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Cook and family, Loyal.

Recent guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Halow were her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Reisinger of Grafton, Ohio. On Friday Mr. and Mrs. George Bredlau of Neillsville called on the Haslow’s.

Spending Friday visiting with Mrs. Elva Lewis were Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Alan Lewis and daughter, Milwaukee. Mr. Lewis reports that he got a deer on the first day of the bow and arrow season. On Sunday Mrs. Vader and son visited with Mrs. Lewis.

Mr. and Mrs. Merle Hales, Manawa, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hales over the weekend.

Spending Monday through Wednesday of this week visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Cullen Ayer were Mr. and Mrs. James Sands, Prescott.

Mrs. Werner Gempler returned home last week after having spent six weeks visiting with relatives and friends in Switzerland.

Mr. and Mrs. William Essex, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Grambsch and Mary spent Sunday attending a reunion of the members of the Snyder-Meyers families, which was held at Bloom City, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Stevens and Mrs. Harold Schlinsog also attending from this area.

Mrs. Amelia Braun returned Monday after attending the golden wedding celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Keller, which was held at Richland Center this weekend.

Mrs. Ann Catlin spent the weekend in Marshfield, where she visited with her son-in-law, Mr. Norbert Herman, who is a surgical patient in St. Joseph’s Hospital. On Sunday she attended the baptism of her great-grandson, Tad Krueger.

Mrs. Tom Guzman and Jill of Friendship spent some time recently visiting with Mrs. Melva Guzman and with Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Catlin.

Miss Kay Larson returned to eau Claire on Monday after spending a week visiting with Mrs. R.E. Larson. On Wednesday they took a drive through the scenic country in the northern part of the state.
