Sayre, John J. Sr. (29 MAY 1966 - 29 MAR 2016)

John J. Sayre, Sr., age 49, of Thorp, WI formerly of Medford, WI, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 29, 2016.

A Celebration of Life will be held April 15th at the Thirsty Moose in Medford, WI at 5 P.M.

John Joseph Sayre was born on May 29, 1966 in Chicago, IL to William and Nancy (Gilfilla) Sayre.

He was raised and received his education in Chicago, IL and Alabama. After completing his education, John worked as a handyman doing remodeling work in Chicago. He later moved to Bruce, WI and Sheldon, WI, before settling in Medford. In 2014, he moved to Thorp where he resided until the time of his death.

He enjoyed riding motorcycle, spending time with his grandchildren, and having family grill outs.

He is survived by four children: Richard (Ashlee) Sayre of Marshfield, John Sayre, Jr. of Merrill, Joshua Sayre of Medford, Vanessa (Ted) Bonick of Thorp; eight grandchildren: Gabrielle, Bridget, Deven, Lexi, Andre, Drake, Vanessa and Chloe; two sisters; four brothers; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no visitation. There will be no services.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Thirsty Moose Lodge, in Medford.
