Balzer, Arlene (17 JUN 1961)

On Saturday, June 17th, 1961, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood, Miss Arlene Balzer, West Allis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Balzer, Prescott, Arizona, became the bride of James Lindner, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), son of Matt Lindner, Greenwood. The Rev. Father Philip Scherer, Chicago, officiated at the 10:00 a.m. Nuptial Mass. The girls' choir sang.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of white nylon. It was styled with short sleeves and featured a skirt of scalloped lace, ending in a chapel train. Her elbow length veil was attached to a small nylon floral cap and she carried a bouquet of white gardenias.

Miss Mavis Jakobi, West Allis, was maid of honor, and Miss Loretta Lindner, Loyal, and Mrs. James Mueller, Milwaukee, were bridesmaids. They were attired in Nile green nylon frocks, with matching picture hats and white gloves, and carried bouquet of white roses and white daisies.

The groom was attended by Lawrence Lindner, Loyal, as best man. Donald Bushman, a cousin, Loyal, and Roger Liebzeit, Greenwood, a friend, were groomsmen. Ushers were Bernard Lindner, Hales Corners, and Harry Jakobi, Milwaukee.

Following the ceremony a dinner and supper were served in the church hall, with a reception in the afternoon held at the John Jakobi home. In the evening a dance was held at Kolby Park Pavilion.

The bride has been employed by Allis Chalmers in West Allis, and the groom's occupation is farming. The couple will make their home on route 2, Loyal.
