Degenhardt, Dinna Mary (Marriage - 8 June 1974)

Miss Dinna Mary Degenhardt became the bride of Arnold Glenn Halle Saturday, June 8, in a 2 p.m. ceremony performed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood, by the Rev. Leander Koopman. The Rev. Eugene Antrim read passages from the Bible.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Edwin J. Degenhardt, Rt. 3 Greenwood and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold J. Halle, Rt. 3 Neillsville.

Presented in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a traditional white gown fashioned with long , sheer, puffed sleeves gathered into cuffs and an empire waistline defining an A-line skirt with back ties. The bodice featured a V-shaped neckline with a pointed collar trimmed in lace. Her short veil was held by a pearl headpiece. She carried a wicker basket arrangement of yellow buttercups, white carnations and blue delphiniums.

Wicker baskets of yellow buttercups, white carnation and purple violets were carried by the bridal attendants, Miss Denel Degenhardt, Greenwood, as maid of honor and Miss Joan Shaw, Marshfield, as bridesmaid. Their empire-waist buttercup yellow gowns were styled with A-line skirts, V-shaped necklines with lace trimmed pointed collars, and short, puffed sleeve. They wore yellow ribbons in their hair.

Roger Buchholz, Neillsville, served as bestman and Duane Degenhardt, Spencer, as groomsman. Guests were seated by James Chadwick, Jr. and Dennis Buchholz, both of Neillsville.

Miss Rita Stewart was the organist and Miss Cindy Stewart, the soloist.

An evening reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

The bride is a 1974 graduate of Greenwood High School. Her husband graduated from Neillsville High School in 1971 and from the Farm and Industry short course at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1972. He is engaged in farming.

The couple will live on Rt.3 Neillsville.
