Sellung, Adeline (Lang) (30 JUN 1919 - 7 JUL 2016)

Adeline Sellung, 97, Edgar, died Thursday, July 7, 2016 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at her home, Riverview Terrace Assisted Living, Wausau.

She was born June 30, 1919 in the town of Cassel, daughter of the late Joseph Jr. and Mathilda Lang. On May 1, 1946 she married Daniel Sellung in Marathon. He preceded her in death on January 7, 1981.

She was a member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar and the St. Cecelia Group.

Survivors include her children, Maureen (James) Borchardt, Edgar, Sandra (Bill) Walters, Alaska, Allen Sellung and Daniel Sellung Jr., both of Wausau; grandchildren, Hilliary Howard, Brian Sellung, Shane Colley, Sharai Boles, Patrick Borchardt, Tamara (John) Suchy, Kris (Beth) Borchardt, Todd (Amy) Borchardt, Lenore (Carlos) Encinas, Kristin Remus, Michele (Billy) Campbell and Chad (Megan) Remus; 22 great-grandchildren; one sister, Marian Huth, Marshfield.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four children, John, Lenore, Gerard and Joseph and her siblings.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2016 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. Rev. Thomas Huff will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. There will be a 10:30 a.m. rosary service.
