Carney, Mildred (14 APR 1916 – 18 JUL 1971)

Mrs. Mildred A. Carney, 55, died at Memorial Home, Neillsville, Sunday, July 18, 1971.

The body was given to Cancer Research and memorials may be given to the Clark County Cancer Fund.

Mrs. Carney was born April 14, 1916, at Highland, Wisconsin, and the family came to Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), where they operated a farm. She attended rural schools in the Greenwood area and graduated from the Greenwood High School. She worked in Chicago for several years.

Survivors include a son, James Carney, route 2, Neillsville; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Francis, Neillsville; Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Neuenfeldt, Spencer, and Mrs. John (Margaret) Richards, Mount Prospect, Illinois, and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, James Plan, and by a sister, Alice Plank.
