A Miscellaneous shower was given at the Curtiss Village Hall Saturday evening, August 20 in honor of Miss Jean Nessler and Wm. Frahman, who will be married in the near future.

Mrs. Anna Lipprandt left for Milwaukee last week, where she will visit her daughters and other relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. John Lokken visited several days at La Crosse last week. On Saturday they attended the wedding of a relative at Milwaukee.

Mr. and Mrs. James Dowty and children of Waukesha were weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kobs.

Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Rosenquist and daughters, Joyce, Judy and Joanne of Waukegan, Illinois came to attend the wedding of Carmen Kruegler and Lester Mahla Saturday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Dorchester. They were house guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Schultz while here.

Mrs. A.M. Erickson returned home Wednesday from Luther Hospital, La Crosse, after being a surgical patient.

Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Longway of French Island, La Crosse,w ere guests last week at the C.W. Geary home.

Mrs. Anna Tonn attended the Mahla – Kruegler candlelight wedding at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Dorchester, Saturday evening.

Franklin and Emery Peissig left Sunday for Brule River where they will spend a week fishing and vacationing.

Mrs. Belle Veglahn of La Crosse is a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A.M. Erickson.

Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Schultz of Stevens Point were weekend guests at the homes of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Loraine Fritz and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schultz. They also attended the Mahla – Kruegler wedding at Dorchester Saturday evening, where Leroy served as usher and Donna had charge of the guest book.

Mrs. Glen Schwandt and Mrs. Walter Lipprandt were hostesses to the afternoon Circle of St. Paul's Lutehran Church Tuesday, August 23.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Laabs and Mrs. Glenn Schwandt visited with friends and relatives at the Memorial Nursing home, Neillsville Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Lester Bower attended the Schade –Wendt wedding at Sussex Saturday. They returned home Sunday evening.

Miss Sandra Konik of Racine is spending part of her vacation at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Thess.

David Schultz, graduate student, left for Purdue University Sunday, where he will resume his work. He spent the past ten days at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Schultz.

Pam and Mike Geary of Markesan are visiting their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Geary and Dorothy this week.
