Lindner, Frank A. (11 DEC 1920 – 22 SEP 2016)

Frank A. Lindner, 95, Loyal, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016, peacefully at home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. Rev. Steve Brice will officiate. Inurnment will follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be his sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the church, on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until time of the service.

Frank Andrew Lindner was born on Dec. 11, 1920, in the town of Eaton, rural Loyal, to Mathias and Gertrude (nee Scherer) Lindner. He was raised on the family farm and received his education at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Greenwood. He married Helen M. Kaiser on July 30, 1952, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stratford. They farmed on Owen Avenue, west of Loyal, until retiring in 1989 and moving to Loyal. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Frank loved to spend time with his family, play cards, bowling, fishing, and working with his John Deere tractors.

Along with his wife, Helen, Frank is survived by his children: Paul (Kathy) Lindner of Rochester, Minn., Susan Durst of Mosinee, Gerald (Cindy) Lindner of Lino Lakes, Minn., Therese (Jerome) Meyer of Chanhassen, Minn., and Robert (Anne) Lindner of Rochester, Minn.; 11 grandchildren: Darren (Liz) Lindner, Deanna (Derek) Petersen, Anna Durst, Jared, Steven and Kendra Lindner, Jonathon and Tommy Meyer, and Ryann, Morganne and Sarrah Lindner; two great-grandchildren: Jonah and Lily Lindner; three siblings: James Lindner of Loyal, Helen (Richard) Esselman of Loyal, and Loretta Lindner of Greenwood; a sister-in-law: Josie Lindner of Loyal; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents: one son-in-law: John Durst; his siblings and in-laws: Bernard (Bernadine) Lindner, Edward Lindner, Eleanor Lindner, Genevieve (Fred) Budzisz, Arlene Lindner, and Joseph, Lawrence and William Lindner.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family.
