Pleasant Ridge (3 Apr 1919)

Messers Fred and Frank Vine spent Sunday with their mother in Neillsville.

Mr. and Mrs. Rube King’s friends gave them a surprise last Thursday night in honor of their wedding anniversary.

Miss Ruth Vine and little brother visited Miss Beatrice Hall’s school last Friday.

Mrs. Otto Hantke entertained the Larkin Club last Thursday afternoon.

Mrs. Clemens Kuetchenmeister and Mrs. Geo. Vine called on Mrs. Clara Richard in Granton and saw the baby boy.

Mrs. Otto Slocomb and Mrs. C. Kuetchenmeister called at Mrs. Arlo Huckstead’s one day last week to see Grandma Vine, who is quite sick there and under the care of Dr. Bachman.

A fine 8-lb baby girl came to gladden the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Stanley last Tuesday.

Mrs. George Huckstead of Marshfield is spending a few weeks wither daughter, Mrs. Roy Stanley, caring for her little granddaughter.

Miss Letta Vine visited Miss Roder’s school last Friday.

Mrs. Salsbury spent last Thursday afternoon with Miss Lydia King.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Selves spent Sunday with the Geo. Howard family.

There are government men cutting ship timber for Fred Vine.
