Margaret "Maggie" V. (Niewolny) (30 NOV 1915 - 8 MAR 2012)

Margaret "Maggie" V. Kremsreiter, 96, Athens, died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Golden Living Center, Continental Manor, Abbotsford.

She was born November 30, 1915 in Athens, daughter of the late Fred and Rose (Klawinski) Niewolny. On October 14, 1931 she married William Kremsreiter at St. John Catholic Church, Wuertzburg. He preceded her in death.

Maggie farmed with her husband in the town of Johnson and worked at Marathon Cheese for 24 years. She loved gardening, fishing, canning and listening to polka music on Sunday mornings.

Survivors include her 13 children, Alice (Donald) Weiler, Athens, William (Darlene) Kremsreiter Jr., Milwaukee, Shirley (Tom) Von Loh, Athens, Eugene (Betty) Kremsreiter, Wausau, Diane (Elroy) Dahl, Medford, Ron (Marlene) Kremsreiter, Ray (Kathy) Kremsreiter, both of Athens, Roger (Vivian) Kremsreiter, Stetsonville, Lola (Gary) Radloff, Athens, Dennis (Rita) Kremsreiter, Merrill, Judy Reimer, Medford, Mary Lou Kremsreiter, Colby, Harlen (Lori) Kremsreiter, Athens; 48 grandchildren, 98 great-grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren, sister, Gloria (Harry) Tagliafari, Indiana, brother, George (Pat) Niewolny, Wausau.

Besides her parents and husband, William, she was preceded in death by brothers, John, Clarence, Frank and Walter Niewolny and sisters, Merceda Zawaski, Sopia Frahm, Teresa Meir and Delores Westfall, and grandchildren, Allan "Butch" Weiler, Lori Weiler and Glenn Von Loh.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2012 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. The Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Athens. Friends may call Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens and again on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish rosary at 6 p.m. on Sunday at the Athens funeral home.

Pallbearers for the service will be granddaughters, Adrien Hoernke, Kim Reif, Barb Forest, Donna Bacon, Christine Karraseh and Linda Radloff.
