Mrs. Carl Halverson returned home Friday when her daughter, Mrs. Bob Hopkins drove her home from Madison, where she visited a week at the Hopkins' home.

A weekend camping trip at Mead Dam was enjoyed by several Owen families, including Mr. and Mrs. O. Woodbeck, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Zielinski, Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Anderson and the A.W. Leahy family.

Tuesday Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Mattson enjoyed a drive to Tomahawk, where they spent the day at the summer home of his sister and brother-in-law.

Nancy Rowe, student nurse at Deaconess Hospital in Milwaukee, returned to Owen with her parents on Friday of last week and will enjoy a two week stay at their home here.

Miss Kristi Potocnik visited at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Potocnik, this weekend and Saturday went to Pigeon Falls where she attended the wedding of her apartment mate, Mary Hansen.

Dennis Henke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Henke, arrived home Wednesday of last week from Great Lakes, where he completed his six weeks of basic training. After a 15-day leave he reports to Lemoore Field, California for further training with the Navy.

Tom Riber of the U.S. Navy surprised his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Riber, when they returned home Sunday evening from a weekend visit at the Stave Vach home at Pine City, Minnesota. They were expecting their son home on leave from the Navy sometime this summer, but the date wasn't exact. Tom arrived here Saturday evening from California and had to break into his own home. He will remain here visiting until the 15th of July.

Mr. and Mrs. LaVere Gilman of Olympia, Washington visited friends here the fore part of the week. He was a 1934 graduate of Owen High School and has been here only once since that time.

Over the weekend Burt Devine and three sons of Menomonee Falls visited here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Devine.

Tuesday Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Kitze arrived here from their home in Fairbanks, Alaska and spent the remainder of the week with his two brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kitze and William Kitze.

Lynn Fillips is a surgical patient at St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield, being admitted Sunday and undergoing surgery on Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fricke drove their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Burt Potocnik to Minneapolis, where the Potocnik's caught a plane Friday morning, returning to their home in California, after a two week visit here with the Frickes and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Potocnik.
