Olson, Robert L.

CHILI – Services for Robert L. Olson, owner and operator of Multi Co. Inc., will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Zion American Lutheran Church, Route 1, Granton.

The Rev. Maynard E. Stokka is to officiate. Burial will be in Zion American Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Music will be provided by Michael Bletsoe and Mark Lavey, vocalists, and Mrs. Milton E. Garbisch, organist.

Thomas Forbish, Robert W. Scheel, James Daleiden, Donovan Spry, Peter Leder and Gregory Wilke are to serve as pallbearers.

Military rites will be conducted at the cemetery.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday and until noon Monday at Rembs/Kundinger Chapel and at the church after 1 p.m. Monday. Elks Lodge of Sorrow service will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Olson, 40, Route 1, died at 8:15 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Death followed an apparent heart attack.

He was born April 29, 1940 in Norfolk, Neb. He attended grade school and North High School in Omaha, Neb., and then attended Midland College in Fremont, Neb. At that time, he joined the U.S. Marine Reserves, serving until 1962.

After college, he was employed by Norcross Greeting Card Co. in sales for one year, then moved to Milwaukee to work for Globe Union Co. He then was with Kasten Manufacturing Co. in Allenton for eight years, residing in West Bend. In 1972 he came to Chili and founded Multi Co. Inc., a firm for hay handling equipment.

He was a member of Zion American Lutheran Church of which he served as deacon and treasurer of the cemetery fund. He was also affiliated with the Elks Lodge of Marshfield.

On Dec. 17, 1961 in Hennepin Ave. Methodist Church, Minneapolis, he and Evenda B. Bolton were married. She survives along with four children, Greg, Peggy Ann, Jill and Jay, all of Chili.

Also surviving are a brother, Larry Olson of Olathe, Kan., a sister Mrs. Larry (Rexann) Legler of Omaha. His mother, Mrs. Esther Rex Olson, died April 29, 1975.
