Mohr, Ervin O. (28 OCT 1916 - 5 NOV 2016)

Ervin O. Mohr, age 93, of Owen, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at his residence in Owen.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Withee. The Rev. Thomas Myhre will officiate. Interment will be in Saint Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Town of Greenwood, Taylor County at a later
date.

Family and friends are welcome from 2:00 p.m. until time of services at the church on Saturday.

Ervin was born on April 27, 1923, the son of Louis and Selma (Scheithauer) Mohr in the Town of Greenwood, Taylor County. He spent nine months in Alaska working on the highway, Ervin also worked for the Rib Lake Lumber Company sawing logs, and laid asphalt pillars for the railroad in Chicago. His last employment was a truck driver for Western Condensing, later known as Foremost Foods and now Kerry Ingredients in Owen from 1947 until his
retirement in 1988.

Ervin was united in marriage to Joan C. Hendrickson on June 27, 1947 at Saint Peter Lutheran Church in the Town of Greenwood, she preceded him in death.

Ervin was a member of Saint John's Lutheran Church and bowled in a bowling league at the 11th frame in Owen. He was an avid sportsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. Ervin also
loved to garden and tend to his lawn. Ervin and Joan loved to travel in their spare time.
