Weber, Mary Lou (17 MAY 1969)

The marriage of Miss Mary Lou Weber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Weber of route 2, Colby, and Raymond Perry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Perry of Eau Claire, took place Saturday, May 17, 1969 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colby.

Father John Olson witnessed the exchange of vows at the 12:30 ceremony. Music was provided by the parish children's choir.

The matron of honor was Mrs. Mark Carpenter of Colby, and serving as bridesmaids were Mrs. Jerry Weber of East Moline, Ill., and Mrs. David Lawrence of Eau Claire.

The best man was Dwayne Perry of Eau Claire, with Jerry Weber of East Moline and Phillip Zirngible of Medford as groomsmen.

Miss Ahron Berndt of Wausau was miniature bride, and Joseph Berndt Wausau, the miniature groom.

The bride chose a floor length gown of rosepoint lace with long sleeves and a bateau neckline edged with lace. The A-line silhouette was highlighted by a detachable train of peau taffeta, sweeping into chapel length. Her bouffant veil of sheer bridal illusion was secured to a petal cluster of sheer tulle.

She carried a floral arrangement of red roses and white carnations, with red rose bud streamers.

The bridal attendants wore floor length empire styled sheaths of lace featuring short sleeves and semi-scoop necklines. Soft satin bows at the shoulder accented the mock coats of chiffon. The color for the matron of honor was maize, with the two bridesmaids wearing min green.

Their flowers were yellow and white carnations with mint green ribbon streamers.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the afternoon at the Trianon Ballroom, followed by a supper and wedding dance.

Floral decorations on the tables at the hall consisted of rhododendrons, brought by the bride's godmother, Mrs. Gordon Johnson, from her home at Corvallis, Oregon.

The couple will be making their home at 709 1/2 Hudson Street, Eau Claire. The groom is employed there as a construction worker. The bride has been working as a keypunch operator.

Out of town guests attending the ceremony came from Corvallis, Oregon, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Wisconsin Rapids, Medford, Wausau and Marshfield.
