Schara, Cecelia C. (Stubinski) (12 SEP 1923 - 4 JUN 2012)

Cecelia C. Schara, 88, died Monday, June 4, 2012 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2012 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. The Rev. Robert Streveler will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.

She was born September 12, 1923 in Marathon, daughter of the late Thomas and Rose (Kocik) Stubinski. On April 29, 1944 she married Roman Schara at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cassel. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1993.

Cecelia enjoyed embroidering and flower gardening. She was a member of the Edgar Ladies Auxiliary and the St. Rose Group.

Survivors include her sons, Robert Schara, Hayward, Richard (Victoria) Schara, Springbrook, Joseph Schara, Springbrook, Donald (Sandra) Schara, Hayward, John (Mary) Schara, Edgar, Roman (Monica) Schara, Eagle River, Alaska, and Michael Schara, Hayward; daughter, Marie (John) Krautkramer, Wind Lake; grandchildren, Scott, Jennifer, Steven, Shana (Aaron) West, Grant (Jessica) Schara, Nathaniel and Benjamin Krautkramer, Christopher and Matthew Schara, Marcy and Rose Schara; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Deshaun, Roman and Elynor; sister, Alice Krause, Wausau; other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, Roman, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cassandra Schara, brothers and sisters, Verna Koons, Charlotte Bychinski, Joe, Tom, Frank, John and Benedict Stubinski.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks for the care given to Cece by the staff at Colonial Manor, Kennedy Park and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services staff.
